Due to COVID restrictions and concerns, the Liberty Program is on hold until further notice. There is not a set date for the program to resume.
The Liberty Program was founded in 1994. It continues to provide a way for individuals in our community looking to make a positive change by removing their anti-social tattoos.
The Liberty Program tattoo removal treatment sessions are available on a monthly basis at American Indian Health & Services during scheduled treatment sessions. Most people require at least six to eight sessions to complete treatment. 4 hours of community service at an approved non-profit organization must be completed before each treatment session.
- Tattoos must be considered anti-social
- Applicants must possess the appropriate motivation for participation.
- Applicants must be a resident of Santa Barbara County.
- Applicants must provide 4 community service hours prior to each treatment. Paperwork documenting community service must be brought to the treatment session.
