American Indian and Health Services provides information for patients and family members on diabetes management, including:
- Individual Diet Counseling
- Blood Glucose Monitoring
- Medication Monitoring
- Follow-up on diagnosis or treatment care with a Counselor

I. Outpatient Diabetes Education:
AIH&S offers coordinated care for people with diabetes through education and nutrition counseling. A Dietician will assist the patient in management of their disease. The Dietician provides instruction on self-monitoring of blood glucose, insulin administration, oral agents, exercise and all of the issues relating to the management of diabetes.
II. Diabetes support groups:
The Diabetes Education Program offers two formats for learning based on the needs and preferences of the patient.
