Medical Front Office Representative operates as members of a care team coordinating and providing services within the scope of certification while maintaining patient flow to ensure continuous, coordinated, quality care in an orderly and timely manner. Under supervision, applies regulations and procedures to determine eligibility for public assistance programs and referrals for social services; assists patients/families to enroll for benefit programs, performs related duties as required. All patient services staff members are part of a daily rotation assignment between front desk receptionist stations and call center benefits eligibility determination and enrollment stations. Members focus on four areas (1) assisting new patients register with AIH&S; (2) who are uninsured or under insured to obtain benefits for the services they will be receiving at AIH&S; (3) manage incoming telephone calls for appointment scheduling, nursing, information, and other purposes; (4) verifying the patients eligibility status as an Urban Indian per Indian Health Services guidelines.
1. High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
1. One (1) year experience in medical office or clinic
2. Knowledge of non-profit, FQHC healthcare operations
Compensation: starting at 15$/hr
